In September 1951, classes began for UCLA’s first medical students—28 aspiring physicians taught by 15 faculty members. Today, UCLA Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM) have 878 medical students, 3,600 clinical faculty and 1,400 resident physicians and fellows.

This year, DGSOM commemorates 75 years of discovery, education and community. Our impact has been incredible. From developing the tissue-matching test making organ transplants possible to performing the first human bladder transplant, our legacy is defined by ground-breaking discoveries, innovation and progress.

Join us in celebrating our remarkable trajectory and our commitment to preparing skilled, compassionate healthcare professionals who will meet the challenges of tomorrow. Your gift fuels progress and will help shape the future of medicine for generations to come.
