The Innovative Digital Dentistry Systems unit (iDDS) drives innovations and improvements in education and health care. Technologies such as electronic health records, diagnosis and imaging, plus digital design and manufacturing, all increase efficiency and accuracy. The core mission of iDDS is to lead a digital transformation in dental education and oral health care through creativity, innovation, and research. Our vision for the future is to lead and transform how dentistry is taught and practiced. The innovation created by iDDS will help us rapidly expand collaborations among academia, the dental community, and industry. Ultimately, iDDS will diversify the UCLA Dentistry’s patient care, education, and research portfolio.
